Kenneth Kim

Biography

Kenneth Kim is a Professor in the Department of Culture Contents at Hanyang University, Korea, and a leading authority on media, entertainment, and global K-content ecosystems. His research spans K-Pop, Hallyu, broadcasting, OTT platforms, animation, gaming, and theme parks, with numerous publications in Korea’s top cited journals. He has held senior academic leadership roles, including Associate Vice President of Admissions and Director of Academic Information and Library at Hanyang ERICA. Kenneth also served as a visiting scholar and adjunct professor at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. Prior to academia, he spent over 20 years in industry with Samsung, CJ E&M, and The Walt Disney Company, leading international business development, global television channels, and flagship events such as Mnet Asian Music Awards and KCON. Bridging industry and academia, he advises governments, cultural agencies, and global organizations on content strategy, policy, and commercialization.
